Liz Dieter (M.Ed, B.Ed.)

Liz holds a certificate in Gifted Education and E-learning Systems Analysis from Royal Roads University. She is an International Educational Consultant and moved to the Okanagan in 2001. She has spent many years overseas in Australia as the Head of Music (K-12), Head of Science and Technology (K-8), then as a consultant in New South Wales for Independent Schools. Liz is presently a Realtor with Re/Max Penticton Realty.

Sandy Ross (B.Sc., M.D.)

Sandy is a retired ophthalmologist, resident of Penticton since 1971 and operating small raspberry and soft fruit farm since 1980. Sandy spent ten plus years as a Scout Leader and member of the Penticton Outdoor Club, hiking, backpacking and enjoying numerous trekking trips and has continued interest in trails, parks and the natural environment.

Don Henry (B.Ed, M.A.)

Don is a retired educator.  He worked for BC freestyle skiing and the Canadian Freestyle Skiing organizations as a volunteer for a number of years.  When he retired he went to work for Apex as a part-time lifty and a Bed and Breakfast Proprieter.  He spends some time each year doing long distance cycle trips and alot of time with his photography.

Ellen Simmons

Ellen works at Forrex and with the En’owkin Center.  At the En’owkin Centre she is a biology instructor who uses an integrative approach in bringing together knowledges and ways of knowing science from Indigenous and western views in education, research and applications.  Ellen also works with Forrex as an Indigenous Knowledge Extensionalist, where a great deal of her work focus is with habitat enhancement and restoration for a number of nationally listed species at risk on the Locatee Lands.

Sally Kilburg (BS, JD)

Sally has come to the Okanagan after retiring from a 25 year career as a lawyer.  She has worked on several environmental initiatives over the last 15 years, including the physical and vegetative restoration of a several kilometre-long reach of a degraded urban stream, construction of a native plant nursery capable of propagating over 30,000 native plants a year, and service on a commission to develop environmentally sound methods to limit firestorm hazards in the urban, parkland and open space interface.  She currently works as a real estate professional with Sutton Power 1 Realty in Penticton.
